5G Standalone is available free of charge for all yallo postpaid customers until the end of October 2026.
After that, the option will no longer be free and must be activated manually. Without activation, 5G Standalone will be automatically deactivated.

To be able to use 5G SA, you need:

  1. A 5G SA-capable subscription
  2. A 5G SA-capable mobile phone
  3. Only for Apple devices: a SUCI-capable SIM

  • The latest iOS version must be installed
  • The latest network settings must be available (check under Settings → General → About → Network Provider – version Sunrise 64.1 or higher)
  • The SIM/eSIM must support SUCI (enhanced identity protection)

If 5G SA is greyed out

If the 5G Standalone option is grey in the settings (Mobile Data → Data Options → Voice & Data), the reason is usually:

The subscription does not yet support 5G SA, or the SIM/eSIM does not support SUCI



What to do?

Check the subscription

If not supported yet → wait until it is enabled

Check the SIM/eSIM If still not working → customer can order a free eSIM via myyallo
